Comments: The first concert I ever attended was a gift from George himself. That's right George ! I ran the service elevator in the Boston Sheraton way back when. My Father was Head of Security at the Hotel. My Dad knew that I loved the Beatles and just being 14-15 I was stunned when George got into the elevator that first time. I said Hi Mr. Harrison, he said Hi and said it was George. We started some small talk. Then he asked me if I was going to the show that night. I told him that I have never been to a concert before. I told him who my Dad was and George told me he would leave two Backstage Passes for his concert. I told him that my Dad was a retired Boston Policeman and probably wouldn't let me go. Well he did talk to my Father and I got to go. I signed in at the back of the Boston Garden, and was given to Dark Horse pins. I took my best friend with me. Danny. I got to talk to him the next day. At the concert this BIG man had told me that I went to far on the stage when George was playing and took our pins and had us put into the crowd. I think they probably didn't want young people around them. Cause if you ever went to concerts in the 70's all you could smell was Pot everywhere. (Bad move by him but that's another story) From what I remember George was told and talked to me about it the next day. I told him it didn't matter, that I had never had so much fun. I thanked him and told him I would never forget him, George shook my hand told me I was a "Good One" or something like that and smiled. That movie Almost Famous holds no strings on me for I went on to meet quite alot of Famous People. (The Stones had some Mad Parties, Man was my Dad MAD!>) I hoped you enjoyed a story from my Heart.
